5. How did you attract/address your audience?

After getting this feedback the main conclusion that I made was that the unique selling point of my magazine is that it is aimed at men and women, not one or the other. This is effective as it attracts a wider audience. My audience feedback was a great help and it helped me generate more ideas on what to include in my magazine so that I knew what my target audience wanted. I asked them things like if they liked the style of the masthead, if the article is enjoyable to read, if it lacks impact to the reader, if it flows together as a magazine, any improvements that could be made and the successes and failures of the magazine. I learnt that my audience liked my layout of the magazine and how it contrasts and compares to other magazines. Some conventions I used, and some I challenged and my target audience found this very appealing. My audience also like the consistency of my magazine and how the images express the genre of music. They found some of my conventions that I used more successful than others but this helped me decide what changes needed to be made and what else to add.
