3. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

I think that an institution such as Bauer Media Group would be the best to distribute my magazine. This is because it is the distributor of Kerrang and this is one of the key magazines where I got my inspiration from. My magazine is written more formally than other rock magazines as it doesn't include any offensive language, therefore this makes a gap in the market for my magazine and it also appeals to males and females. As they distribute other rock magazines, they have a good experience with distribution and readers will be interested at looking at a new magazine that is similar to ones that they have previously distributed. They are also use to using similar software such as Photoshop and they use similar techniques to appeal to their target audience. Their marketing techniques will be a huge advantage for my magazine as they rely on word of mouth, use radio stations, online advertising, posters and awards ceremonies. This will be an effective way for my target audience to recognise my magazine. 3Vision will also be a good distributor of my magazine as they exhibit their magazines in many ways. The reasons why this institution is so successful at distributing magazines is because they relate to other rock magazines and they look appealing and have an accurate target audience. Bauer Media would want to distribute my magazine as it is similar to other rock magazines but some of the conventions are more developed and challenged so this creates a more up to date and exciting magazine to read. It includes similar context to other magazines but 'AMPLIFY' is more unique and detailed. This institution would like the idea of the challenged conventions as it makes it more interesting for the readers and my target audience.
